Default Eckart Tolle

I recently saw an interview with Eckhart Tolle, the writer of The Power of Now at Utube (Nathan losted a link on another site and one thing led to another....thank you Nathan!).

The book is on my shelf- I read it some time ago.

Just curious is there are those who know of his books and teachings. And what you think about it- and how it has affected you.

Any thoughts?

I am dipping my toes in the pool as the waters are being stirred...

I'm beginning to listen to more of his stuff... haven't read anything yet.

I checked out a website with information about this person (perhaps it was the author's?) some time ago because his books came so highly recommended. From the bits and pieces I read, I decided not to purchase the books because my impression was that he thinks quite similarly to the way that I do, whereas I wanted to explore books that seemed more different. More new to me. In a phase where I am really prompted to move towards what is different and outside of my usual sector of interests.

If it weren't for that, I would probably have gotten the books. They look very nice.

My cousin recently gave me The Power of Now for my birthday, but I haven't started it yet. Just finished a book so I'll get to it soon. My wife read another book of his and watched an interview and is impressed. She says his concepts/philosophy is similar to what she practices in Aikido.

I'll read it and get back to the thread to hopefully answer your questions Daniel! My wife is really high on him.
