Wink Okay, I'm Getting Really, Really Fed Up With These E-Mails That Pick On Obama!!

Yesterday, my friend Karen, a fundamentalist Christian who reborns dolls for a living and sells them on Ebay, e-mailed me a letter written by someone who was fed up with Obama and his Administration (probably a fundie who hates liberals), and just a little while ago, Karen e-mailed me another lets-pick-on-Obama document of mugshot photos of criminals wearing Obama t-shirts. Alright already, I get the picture, my fundie friends hate Obama! That's fine, but I wish they'd stop dragging me into it. I wonder how many of these fundie friends I would lose if I told them I hated Bush and his Administration?

Default Creepy!

It isn't just the fundies. My friend Robert likes to check out the covers of the tabloids whenever he goes to the local Safeway supermarket. He's always telling me about all the nasty cover stories about Obama. You know - Obama is a secret Muslim and/or a secret terrorist; his aunt is an illegal immigrant; and all kinds of other things. The tabloids have been much harder on Obama than they were on the Clintons, and Bill Clinton actually had a real scandal to worry about.

One publisher American Media Inc., puts out a couple of the taboids that seem to be the worst for this stuff. I'm seriously tempted to write them a nasty letter to tell them "So the black guy got elected President. Get over it!"

Yeah, I think racism is a big factor. I like to visit political blogs and I've seen several articles about stupid white people panicking over Obama's election. I forget where this happened, but in one town, a guy who owns a small business flew his flag at half mast because the election of a n***** President means the death of America.

My friend and neighbor, Dan, told be about a discussion with another neighbor, Chris. Chris is actually a fairly nice older lady, but she's not the brightest light in the world, and she gets too much of her "news" from the tabloids. Dan and Chris were talking about the Presidential election, and Chris said "But isn't Obama a Muslim?"

I've also read stories about how there's been a spike in firearms sales because people are afraid that the crazy liberal Obama is gonna take everyone's guns away.

Pretty scary stuff, eh? I hope Pres. Obama wears a kevlar vest under his suits at his public appearances.

Ditto. I had to sit my Mom down and tell her to knock it off.

Is this the kind of word we want to be using?

Smile I agree with NathanATX...

I think we should knock off the term "fundie" and find a better word for these Christians. After all, do we use the N-word to describe an African-American person? Thanks for the correction, Nathan. I'll try to use a better word from now on, okay? No more cutting anyone down just because we sometimes disagree with certain things that certain Christians believe. Anyway, I think this post pretty much proves that people will believe anything about another person that they choose not to like, don't you agree? And yet, if we said anything bad about Republicans and conservative Christians because we disagree with what they say and believe, we are more than likely heretics, and sometimes we are condemned to Hell for our beliefs. Oh well! Did anyone say life was going to be fair?

how about "anti-Christians" or "pseudo-Christians" since what they typically espouse seems to be far afield of what Christ did & said.

fundies is a shortened form of Fundamentalists. What term would you suggest be used that is as easy to type?

Gay guy. Former fundi. That's me.

Interesting, isn't it, how fundi has the word fun in it and gay is...well....gay! Does this mean we have something in common?

Cool Good point, Daniel!

Too bad those fundamentalist Christians won't let the rest of us have any fun, though, huh? They take it away from us so that they can go off in secret and do all of their naughty, no-no things behind our backs. Anyway, Labguy22, you are absolutely hilarious, and I am really enjoying your posts on this Forum. I actually agree with a lot of what you say because you seem to have a lot of logic and good common sense in what you believe. I admire you for that. Thanks for posting.
