Thumbs up greetings...

I am new to the forum... I haven't got much to say today... but I do look forward to visiting... soon... I have lots to learn about how this works... but... I will say I enjoyed the Equality Ride and look forward to the 1000 Watt March... God Bless everyones day... I am in the process of getting my life together... and I look forward to visiting with other Christians who were "unable" to be themselves until later on in life... after marriage, children and divorce I am finally getting closer to being able to BE ME... I now how the support of my parents which I didn't have as a 15 year old... I am a school teacher and I have so much to offer because of my journey and yet... I need to be patient and take it one step at a time... my questions is this... I realize this is a great site and yet I don't quite know how it works... how do you hook yourselves up with people in similar places... or is it just hit and miss... I would like to talk to people who have walked a similar journey as mine and want to help each other out...

Welcome! I may not be able to help a lot because I haven't had to go through what all of you have... but I'm here to support and put input if it seems fit. I hope to see a lot more of you around here!

As for meeting people from the same area there may be seom way that I don't know about, but I think it is hit and miss. Good luck, see you around.

Welcome, Forever!!

This is a wonderful site - some truly caring, kind, insightful people hang out here. Also from time to time the occasional troll comes by just to ruffle us up and bring some excitement to the forums. A great place to ask questions, hear lots of different stories, share insights and experiences.

I hope you'll be comfortable coming back and reading/posting some more. A hearty welcome to ya!

Zerbie

Just read around the site a bit. There are many whom I'm sure you will be able to identify with and hopefully get ideas as to where to go, other sites to visit etc.,

Not that we all do so in reality but we're all pretty keen on the need to connect.

not Lutheran, Disciples of Christ. Music teacher in 2 elementary schools, married, divorced, father of 3. am I out? the ex took care of that for me. at one point, I think she was stopping cars on the highway to let people know that I'm gay

the kids are fine, sometimes they even seem thrilled to have the diversity in the family! I don't talk about it to my students, they don't need to know my personal stuff. I am out to people that I work with and it's not a problem.

Hey Guy... thanks for the update... I shared more about my story on the thread from Baldness... sorry to hear that your wife took it upon herself to make you news the worlds news... ick... that could happen to me... I have to hope it doesn't.... how are your kids doing... my kids are 16 and 19 and they don't know yet... or at least I am naive enough to think they don't... I am sure my youngest wonders... I have found my true love and can't wait to get to the next phase... but... I guess with her kids and mine, we need to be patient... how did it go for you 3 children....
