I'm sharing this for our younger members.
The Trevor Project, which includes the Trevor Helpline that is included in Soulforce's "emergency numbers" page, has started a new website called TrevorSpace. TrevorSpace is an online social networking community (similar to Facebook, etc) specifically designed for LGBTQ young people ages 13 to 24, and their friends and allies. Young people can create personal profiles and connect with each other throughout the country. They can also find resources within their community. The site is http://www.trevorspace.org TrevorSpace is carefully monitored by administrators designated by The Trevor Project (unlike other sites), and tries to ensure all content is age appropriate, youth-friendly and factual. This ensures the site provides the safest space possible for its younger members. TrevorSpace also links members to The Trevor Project's home page, where information about The Trevor Helpline, "Dear Trevor" (another program for communicating about life circumstances), and other important, potentially lifesaving resources are available.
