Thumbs down Sorry it was so crummy!

Whoa - sorry you had such a rotten time coming out!!!
Why do people have to make life so difficult for one another? I was scared to death of coming out, but almost never had a bad experience. I was pretty consistently pleasantly surprised. I'm really sorry that wasn't the case for you, it sounds like it was really hard.

Well, you're welcome here, and I hope you feel at home already. Sounds like ya do. Glad to have you with us.

Hey Kim!

even if you'd like to stay within your Mennonite denomination, there are people who will accept you! I live in a small town here in PA that is home to one of the Menno publishing houses (or was, not sure what's going on there.) Many of these Menno's are liberal and very welcoming and affirming of lgbt people. They have a lot to offer as a denomination when they get beyond the Bible-Thumping. You just need to find the right group.

Welcome here!

Default I find some of the neatest stuff on the net sometimes.....

Kim, welcome to our supportive, non-threatening web site. I will never understand why some people believe that Christianity and the Bible are only about their understanding of sin, and not about God's love, which passeth all understanding.

This is for Kim, and Zerbie and Lydia, and anyone who else who might enjoy it. Warning: This is a song, and if your computer doesn't have sound, you
will just have to read the title, and imagine what goes with the video.

I'm very surprised to hear that, Keltic. Are you absolutely certain of that? I've found some to be accepting of me as a person only long enough to preach to me about my 'sins'. I've grown up here (Lancaster County, Pa.), and have yet to stumble across the mennonite who is fully accepting of the gay community.

Let me know if I'm wrong--that would be fabulous.

Anyway, thank you for the sweet letter and for making me feel welcome.

Kim

BC--this was truly a sweet letter. I didn't write much earlier because I hadn't had coffee yet and my brain was still shut off. It's up and running again--such as it is.

Love ya,

Kim
