Default Fundamentalists Tied to Uganda's Antigay Law

This is an outrage!

From the Advocate News 11-24-09:

"An antigay conservative group with high-powered U.S. political allies has used its influence to support a proposed Ugandan law that would impose the death penalty on "repeat offenders" engaging in gay sex."

The whole thing is so incredible ugly that's it's difficult for me to think about it. The thought of a government executing gays is awful enough; but the fact that that same government is supported by an American Christian organization called "The Family" is beyond my comprehension.

Post Amazing

Life imprisonment or execution just for being who you are? I can think of many despots living who should be executed. One point to remember: these fundmentalists groups do NOT represent Jesus or Christianity. These are modern day Pharisees.

Default See Rachal Maddow, the 12/3 broadcast

Click on "Previously" and backdate to 12/3 Update: She's addressed this 3 times in the last week and a half. Search "Previously", and see what you can find.

Section originally titled "Uganda be kidding". Rachel reads them the riot act, naming names, and including the "Reverend" Rick Warren. Since she did this, some of them have tried to minimize their involvement

Rach, yer my kinda DYKE!

Default Rachel

Is the only one out there DOING ANYTHING about this MADNESS. Calling a spade a spade. And you know what? None of the 'Family" has had the courage of their convictions to stand up and say that gay people should be put to death.

I want to hear them put their mouths where there money is!

Oh ye of little faith!

Here's a link to another piece written by Rev. Kaoma, an African who is on "our side." Rev. Kaoma is a researcher for Political Research Associates. He's very much on top of what is happening in Africa with the U.S. Religious Right.
