Default He's doing much better

Paul is doing much better. He still has some emotional struggles which are normal after a traumatic experience . . . but he is a strong man and was a passionate leader in charge of galvanizing the progressive faith leaders and communities in Texas during our battle over the constitutional amendment. I am proud that he is my best friend and I will let him know that he has been in your prayers. Thanks for your compassion and thoughtfulness.

Thanks Jeff. When I got the email about what had happened to Paul, I forwarded it to some friends so they could put him in their prayers. I want to be able to give them good news when they ask about him.

I have prayed for Paul since hearing about the incident, also. Unfortunately I have a great deal of personal experience with trauma, so I have an idea of what the aftermath can look like. Fwiw, I've prayed for him during the quiet moments of my yoga practice. We continue to wish him well and a complete recovery.

Default A Message from Paul Dodd

Paul asked me to post this.

"A big thank you to all of my Soulforce family for your thoughts, prayers, cards, gifts and E-mails following the September 21 aggravated assault on my roommate and me. Our physical injuries have healed, with only a scar over my right eyebrow where the doctor took eleven stitches, and a few minor scars here and there that are slow to heal. We're both fine, though. I am seeing a wonderful trauma specialist, who assures me I am experiencing normal PTS symptoms following this type of violent crime. The crime is still being investigated as a hate crime, though no suspects have been identified. You just can't imagine the encouragement I have received from your loving and thoughtful support. I look forward to seeing many of you in Colorado Springs this summer! In the meantime, may God bless you richly, and give you grace and strength for the journey."

Peace, Love, Joy - Paul

I too am glad to see he is doing well and wish him the best in getting through the trauma of all that has happened.
