Hi everyone,
My name is Cherine and I am transgender. I transitioned to full-time female about 2 years ago. I was brought up Muslim, but I just believe that there is a higher power that exists and I don't want to feel pressured to put myself under any labels. I am looking to meet some trans friendly people on this site. I feel also that I need to know more LGBT people of faith and am looking to establish a support system of LGBT people of faith. I want to find my own God. At one point I thought I found my own God but I felt betrayed afterwards and I pray that I will find a good support system from people on this site. I am looking to meet people anywhere in the US or the world, but at the same time I am hoping to make some contacts with people from the Seattle area, where I am from. And I want someone to tell me that I am loved by God, whether I am a man, a woman, both, or none. Hugs, Cherine |

Welcome Cherine! Yes, God loves you as you are right now, always has, and always will. In my faith we say that what you are looking for is what you are looking with. Spirit having a human experience.

Hi Cherine and welcome to the forums. I'm a transgender person who came out five years ago at age 57. God loves us as we are because it's the way we were created. It's been the happiest fives years of my life.

We have a fairly active trans community here, I'm sure you'll meet them soon. I was dating Lynn for a few years, after she had been Allen for 23 years.
Minneapolis is reasonably trans friendly, but I suspect that that Seattle probably is also. I hope that you own a sleek, sexy raincoat. I don't know why God created our bodies, our gender identities, and our orientations in so many combinations, but I'm sure S/He had Hir reasons. I've never been trans, but I have always had a certain attraction to, and identification with lesbians. This of course has seldom been reciprocated. I belong to a very loving, and liberal LGBT and Str8 church. It's not an MCC, it's UCC. When I found Spirit of the Lakes, I knew that I had found a home. I hope that you have a similar resource, in your life Peace, Love, and Rock-and-Roll, BruceChris
