I came upon this news item at Towleroad this afternoon.
http://www.towleroad.com/2010/07/ann...positions.html Ok. It's not earth shattering. But I find it interesting, nonetheless, that a major author is taking something of a stand against conservative Christianity- the conservative Christianity that is Republican, anti-gay, anti-feminist- anti-science etc. At least, that's how I interpret this news. I half-wondered what she was thinking when she announced her new-found Christianity. Especially considering some of the books she has written. Spirituality should never take a back seat to organized religion - I was glad to read this. Thanks for sharing Daniel!

I must confess to never having read one of her books all the way through. I did start one, but never finished it. Her prose was possibly the most beautiful I'd ever seen. A talented lady! So glad to have her as an ally! Seems like an awesome person.

But in favor of the Christianity she believes in. I suspect she's doing as well as or better than most of us.
I'll gladly accept her as that, vampires and all. Peace and Love, BruceChris

That's the way I took it also, Daniel. Many believe to be a Christian you must be Republican, anti-LGBT, married, and conservative. That's what Christianity is NOT about. Wish that I could share with her what being a Christian actually is. Gennee
