Hi, my name is Matt, I am an eighteen-year-old freshman at ACU, and am also transgendered (I plan to start transitioning late my senior year). I realized this around age twelve, and since then have struggled with it and my faith. Most pastors/ministers I have talked begged me to repent of my sins. However, I have done more research than them, and know that it is not a sin to be transgender, as it is never condemned in the Bible.
I joined this site because I believe that the LGBT community is just as worthy of Jesus' grace and salvation, and deserve to be just as part of the Christian faith and community as those who are not. |

Hi Matt,
I am glad that you have made your presence known here on the forums. It seems that throughout history religious people have tried to make Christianity a religion of exclusion. Christ is one example of the exact opposite. You are so right in saying that God's grace is for all.
