"With a clear mind and sound judgment, we free ourselves from the burden of fear associated with Hell. Without fear, Hell has no grip. We can with the most trifling of efforts sunder the gates, release all who wish to escape from the cruel grip of tyranny and delusion, and emerge into the beauty of the cosmos."
Carl Sagan

I think most Christians as individuals are not jerks. But, many Christian churches and organizations are jerks in their actions and words.

I agree with you on those two points. Christianity in some quarters has come down to politics, region, ethnicity, and a narrow view of the world. The young people are getting back to basics. Presenting the gospel, helping those less fortunate, visiting prisons and widows, and loving those who are unloved.
