I find it interesting Falwell says like slavery, gay marriage is worth fighting when he was one of the last to desegregate his church. That seems curious, don't know what it means, but it is curious.

Ooooh! Niiiiiiice juxtaposition of Corey's heartfelt and gentle words with Falwell's. . .whaddaya wanna call that?

That line of Falwell's about someone who opposes the FMA will never be President - does anyone else think that's a jab directly at Senator McCain who is hoping for the nomination in '08, and opposes the amendment?

Falwell - THE individual responsible for me hating Christianity for 20 years. . .great.

Actually he was one of the first in Lynchburg to desegregate his church. You can read about it in his "autobiography" (written by Mel) Strength for the Journey

Default Thumbs up~

Excellent job, Cory. I'm confused by Falwell's use of the word "family". Am I to deduce that we don't belong in our own families if we are gay? A cancer like Falwell is a blemish on the species known as man, but he's still a part of his own and our own "family". I pity the man.

Thanks for the kind words friends. I am going to miss being about to get on TV anytime I want to when I leave Lynchburg. It's such a small town that all you have to do is send a press release to the local media regarding about anything and you will get a story. It really has been a great learning experience in dealing with media. Mel has been a great help.

Default Slightly off message...but marriage is in the title, right?

A county in New York State, my state, is getting with the program.

By executive order, Westchester County will recognize legal gay marriage.
Westchester, for those who don't know, is a very conservative and wealthy suburb of NYC.

In addition, all eyes are watching the NY State courts: a decision on gay marriage as it applies to the State Constitution is expected within the next 6-8 weeks. If the case fails, it will be up to the legistlative process.

I watched the video. Well done, schoolboi.

Falwell and Bush both talked about how such an important decision should not be made by the courts, but rather by the people. I would love to hear their take on "Brown vs. Board" and just when they think segregation would have ended in southern schools if the courts hadn't ruled. If Bush or Falwell were to suggest that the 1954 decision was merely a nod to an "on-the-verge-of-integrating" South...
