Default Greetings!

My name is Sarah, I am straight, married, mother, Christian and an Author.
My work adresses the opression that mainstream Christianity imparts to multitudes of people on various levels, robbing them from truly experiencing God and His Love for all mankind. Although I am not Gay, I have suffered much to the point of extreame hopelessness and attempted suicide because of the lies passed down about what others claim is or is not acceptable to God. So I am here because I thought it would be good to learn a little bit from you all, by reading your posts and perhaps ask some questions, about the side of religious intolerance that seeks to opress homosexuals as my lifes path is calling me to better understand and hopefully help in some way. I hope thats ok.

Default hello and welcome...

great to have you in the forum....

I agree that your experiences of oppression from the church through their perspectives on right/wrong or just interpretations of the bible or God or whatever are perfectly relevent to bring to this forum....the feelings of being oppressed are all the same, no matter what the reasons....the church worldwide needs to be challenged about their practices so that the church does not continue to oppress people but actually works to set the oppressed free....

Hope the forums help you...

Gemma
