Here I am in Wisconsin with the temp in the teens and a half-a-foot of snow on the ground! All I can say is I wish I was in Carolina!

My partner, Jim, and I went to Lake Junaluska, North Carolina this past Labor Day to the "Hearts on Fire" event sponsored by the Reconciling Ministries Network. We got picketed by KKK from Georgia! We did receive very fine hospitality and seemed to me that many local folks were friendly and supportive, and the whole experience turned out fabulous!

I liked the Carolina experience! What are the hopeful signs for LGBT folk and their friends in the Carolinas these days?
