Learn how organizing is different from other ways of making change in a community. Explore different leadership styles, decision-making methods, team building tools, and outreach skills to expand and strengthen your group.
Strategic Campaign Planning: (3 hours)
A campaigns is a powerful framework to help a base of people win concrete improvements in their lives. Learn the basics of developing a strategic campaign with a clear target and goals, and gain tools for identifying allies, developing a timeline for your campaign work and evaluating your campaign.
Power and Oppression: (3 hours)
As people fighting for social and environmental justice, we must avoid playing into societal systems of oppression as we work with, or advocate for, impacted communities. Learn theory to help understand how systems of oppression are created, and develop best practices to create more inclusive, empowered partnerships in your work.
How to Be a Model Ally: (3 hours)
Working Models for National Environmental Organizations to work with Impacted Communities. A presentation of the Indigenous People’s Power Project Model (network of local indigenous groups and circle of native trainers strategizing and sharing skills)
