I will do what I can to support equal rights. I come from a white, middle class background and my parents were always big advocates of civil rights for ALL. I have both a 15-year-old son (who just recently discovered he’s gay) and a close friend who is gay. I cannot participate in too many marches or anything because I have arthritis in both knees. I can take a Saturday to help drum up support at street fairs or other festivals (since the festival season is nearly here). E mail me. I tend to do two volunteer stints for NARAL each year, and I really support what you do as well. Don’t have too much time. I work two jobs and go to grad school, but I’ll do what and when I can. Until all are provided with the same rights, we do not have a true democracy

I am a heterosexual white dude. But the way I see it, until everyone is equal, no one is truly free. The struggle for gay rights is a struggle for human rights, and those rights are mine, yours, your children’s, my children’s. I’ll gladly commit civil disobedience for my gay and lesbian brothers and sisters. Their rights are my rights. Their cause is my cause.

Is there some way that I can use this website to connect w/ other people in Central Ohio? I just moved to Columbus and I’m looking for some fellow activists/organizers.
