Biblical Literalism:

Self-Defense Class for

Bible-Based Attacks

*Back by popular demand!*

Date: Sunday, March 11th | 7-8PM EST

Have you ever been frustrated by a conversation where someone uses the trump card “God says” or “the Bible says” to make their point? Does the Bible ever feel too big, too scary, too much to unpack, for fear of what it could say to you?

Soulforce staff invites you to a 60-minute digital self-defense class to wrestle with the conversation of Biblical literalism and weaponized scripture. Join us to hone your approach to de-fanging scripture, increase your Biblical literacy, and grow your confidence to have hard conversations about the Bible in your justice work.

Whether you’re coming for more tools to disarm Bible-based violence in your activism, trying to find common ground with your fundamentalist conversation partners, or courageously reclaiming your spirit in resistance to legacies of Christian Supremacy -- we’re looking forward to having you participate in breaking open the text to grow a fearless, justice-centered relationship to Christian scripture.

All registrants will receive a digital copy of our newest theological resource, “Breaking Open: Biblical Literalism & Inerrrancy”, and a copy of the recorded webinar via email after the call.

This webinar will be hosted and recorded on Zoom. Information on how to join the call will be emailed to all registrants. Visit the Zoom registration page to save your seat!
